A glimpse into my passion projects and hobbies
Robotics and Autonomous Systems
Project Altair
My passion for robotics and autonomous systems was crystallized through Project Altair, a community-driven initiative to develop an advanced autonomous rover system for environmental data collection. As one of the founding members and later the Team Lead (‘23-‘24), I led a diverse team through an ambitious journey of designing, building, and deploying a sophisticated robotic platform.
The rover system represents a comprehensive engineering achievement, featuring:
- A functioning locomotive body with advanced mobility systems
- A general-purpose robotic arm for sample collection and environmental monitoring
- Integrated high-level software written in C++ and Python for autonomous decision-making
- Low-level embedded systems using Arduino and ESP32 microcontrollers for real-time hardware control
- Sophisticated communication protocols for remote operation and data transmission
- Comprehensive sensor suites for navigation and environmental analysis
As part of Project Altair, I had the incredible opportunity to represent our team on the international stage, competing against elite rover teams from around the globe.
Poland - European Rover Challenge (ERC)
Traveling to Poland to participate in the prestigious European Rover Challenge was an unforgettable experience. We competed against rover teams from Europe and beyond in diverse terrain challenges, putting our rover through its paces in conditions that tested every system we’d designed and built. It was exhilarating to demonstrate our rover’s autonomy, durability, and scientific capabilities on such a prestigious international platform. The experience exposed us to international robotics competition standards and best practices, providing invaluable benchmarking against teams who were equally passionate about autonomous systems.
India - International Rover Challenge (IRC)
Shortly after, we attended the International Rover Challenge in India, bringing with us the lessons learned from Poland and a renewed commitment to pushing our rover even further. The terrain navigation and sample collection tasks in India were rigorous and unforgiving, demanding every ounce of engineering excellence we’d poured into our systems. Competing in India gave us the opportunity to collaborate with rover teams from multiple countries, fostering global robotics community connections that enriched our perspective on international engineering standards. Through these competitions, we showcased our innovations in control systems and software architecture, standing proudly among the world’s leading autonomous rover development teams.

Beyond rover development, I extended my robotics expertise to aerial autonomous systems. As part of the software team at ANTS BD Ltd, I contributed to developing multi-UAV flight control systems
Age of Empires 2
If you catch me with some free time, there’s a decent chance you’ll find me playing Age of Empires 2 (AoE2). Not gonna lie—there’s something absolutely satisfying about booming your economy, then steamrolling your opponent with a perfectly timed cavalry charge in the late game.
What’s interesting is that my love for games like AoE2 actually ties back to my earlier passion for game development and computer graphics. Back in my early programming days, I was genuinely fascinated by game development and graphics programming. I spent considerable time exploring graphics libraries, understanding shader programming, and thinking about how to make games tick every frame.
Playing AoE2 now, I find myself appreciating the engineering behind it—the performance optimization required to render those massive battlefields with thousands of pathfinding units, the elegant state machine design for unit behaviors.
