CS 3360 - Computing Systems Fundamentals

Location: Derrick Hall 240
I serve as the Doctoral Instructional Assistant for this course at the Department of Computer Science. I support students in understanding the fundamental concepts behind the design and implementation of computing systems, including performance evaluation, queueing systems, scheduling, communication and networks, parallel computing, synchronization, and virtualization.
Students learn to describe workload distribution models, analyze queueing systems, implement scheduling algorithms, investigate parallel programs and synchronization, and discuss inter-process communication and computer network architectures.
Office Hours
I hold office hours on Mondays and Wednesdays from 10:00-11:00 AM in the Comal 307 Rotunda. Meetings are by appointment through Microsoft Teams and Zoom.
